    Hi,

I find the previews for BW8 helpful and I wish to know more about the ERMIE fuction and which format is best to use within it? For instance, I would really like to try to integrate Thomas L. Constable’s Expository Notes for a more modern commentary outside M. Henry which has some Greek keyword references as well. Any clues as to the best format (PDF, Word or RTF) for using this resource in ERMIE?

Dr. Thomas L. Constable’s Expository Notes details:
    http://www.soniclight.com/constable/notes.htm
Expository (Bible Study) Notes on computer CD in PDF (Comments Enabled), Word 97, and RTF formats - Order 1 to 4 CDs - Over 7,000 pages of expository notes on all 66 books of the Bible.

Otherwise, I think it would be of high value to BW to have this commentary as a module option in the future!

    Thanks,
    Dave

Hey, I just tried compiling both the 1611 KJV and Bishop’s Bible, and they both generate a ton of errors. Miles Coverdale compiles, though.

These worked in BW7, though. Have they been changed? Have you tried compiling them under 8?

Hello! When I download the Complete Apostolic Bible (cab.zip) my WinZip program tells me that it is not a valid archive file, and may be corrupted. However apb.zip (and everything else I’ve downloaded so far from your site) appear to be fine. Would you mind looking into this and rectifying the situation? Thanks! Enjoy!

I take it back; the apb.zip file is corrupted too.

John, are you able to open the file in Windows by simply clicking open, rather than using Winzip? I know others have complained about this too, but the files open fine for me (not using Winzip). I’m not exactly sure why there is this discrepancy.

Hey, I just want to say a huge thanks for all the work you guys have put into developing these modules. This represents a huge effort and a really valuable resource.

Grateful to Bob Venem for making them available, I downloaded into the database file and unzipped the following Bibles: Wycliffe, Coverdale, Bishops, and 1611 KJV, following the directions on the modules sheet. Yet I cannot view them in BibleWorks 8.0.
Yes, I did unlock all of the associated files for each version (just in case).
    Thanks for any help.

Tom, did you read the instructions for installing *versions*? Those files are not modules (HTML based additions).

Concerning the entry above “Complete Apostles’ Bible, Paul Esposito’s update on Brenton’s Septuagint and a translation of the Majority Text in English (http://www.emtvonline.com)”

The provided version id (CAB) is also used for the BW supplied “CAB - La Biblia (versión castellana del P. Serafín de Ausejo, OFM Cap., revisada y actualizada por Marciano Villanueva). Copyright © 2003, Herder Editorial, S.L., C/Provenza, 388, 08025 Barcelona, Spain.”
I resolved this by telling the Version Compiler that this is the ESPO version, but anyone following the normal process would clobber the Spanish version.

Also, the address provided (http://www.emtvonline.com) now takes one to “How the Stock Market Works”. Possibly Esposito’s site (http://majoritytext.com/) would be more helpful.

    Hi,

like some other downloaders, I too am experiencing “un-zipping” problems…
In my case it is the “grt.zip” (Greek Bible Transliterated)…
I had it working under BW7 but, I believe, it must be recompiled in order for it to work under BW8…
I have tried quite a few different programs to “unzip” the file - but, so far, no cigar…
Any help will be appreciated very much…

I’m not sure what can be done. Downloading them and unzipping them works for me on multiple computers. Rezipping them seems to make no difference. I can’t explain why it works for some and not others.
